Control Appetite Foods
1. Eat high fiber foods with each meal
Black beans, lentils, blackeyed peas, broccoli, cauliflower… all these foods you can easily add into your diet without taking away your comfort foods that you love to eat.
Just add these in. Black beans are great because a can has 25 grams of protein and 25 grams of fiber in it… for just 50 cents or so. Plus they’re quick to cook, 5 minutes.
Lentils are great because a 72 cent bag has 143 grams of fiber and 130 grams of protein. Heck, with the price of everything going up these days, black beans and lentils are sure making themselves look a lot more attractive.
Broccoli and cauliflower… bulk foods. All these foods fill you up with few calories. I’m not asking you to take away any foods you normally eat… just add these in.
2. Apples
Ok, these are relatively high in fiber also (5 grams per), but these are for snacks to tide you over between meals. Apples are excellent snacks not only because of the fiber, but because the high water content keeps you hydrated.
